This is a recipe I’ve been meaning to make a blog post about for a long time… Probably since I started this blog. And part of the reason that I started this blog was to share recipes like this… This is my own version of the Hairy Dieters Simple Tuna and Sweetcorn Pasta Salad (Hairy Dieters Book 1, p186), I’ve made this recipe so often that the spine of the book is broken here and the pages are all grimy. There are also a lot of sticky notes on this page with my adaptations of the recipe.
In this day and age, most people will probably find their recipes online. I love that I can just search some ingredients and get a whole host of recipes to make with them. But when I’m in the kitchen… I don’t have a device with a screen near me, and I can’t be the only person who bookmarks a recipe, only to forget its existence… For that reason, I’ve started collecting recipes in my own “Recipe Book”, that way they’re always at hand and I can go through them as I would with other recipe books. The best part, they’ll all be recipes I’m actually interested in making! You can, of course, make this in other systems too, but my examples will use a disk bound system as I like the versatility of it.
Today a post I’ve been meaning to write for a while now. My favourite healthy pasta sauce recipe that I absolutely adore! If you’ve been following some of my Food Planning posts, you know that I like to cook in bulk, and this is a perfect recipe for that! This recipe is cheap, healthy and easy, but does require a little preparation. It also makes a great and chunky soup for cold or lazy days.
Today I’m sharing one of my favourite winter recipes. It doesn’t really have a name, we call it “veggies from the oven”, but it’s a lot more than that, it also includes carbs and meat. It’s easy, warm, healthy and relatively fast, depending on your idea of fast. Also, it’s cheap!
This is a recipe that I regularly reference when I talk about what I eat in a day and my food process. Every morning I wake up, open the fridge, tip my jar of overnight oatmeal into a b0wl, add some fruit and other toppings, put it in the microwave and after a couple of minutes, my breakfast is done. Nice, easy, quick. And today I’m sharing the recipe with you.
